Top Ten Lists

Okay, so here’s the thing: ranking lists, the process of canonizing this and leaving out that, can be a little destructive to the arts. I know plenty of people that refuse to make lists, for good reasons I’m inclined to follow. But, on the other hand, I’ve enjoyed making numbered lists since I was young, and now do it as a way to remember what I loved from a given period. It’s as much about memory as ranking.
